As part of its Social Responsibility, Housing Finance Bank is committed to supporting sustainable community development by providing solutions to the Ugandan people so as to transform the country from a peasant to a modern and prosperous country in line with Vision 2040.
As such, the Bank has carried out a number of initiatives this year that are in line with this commitment by contributing construction items to facilitate various projects within its areas of operation. During the months of February and March, 2019, the Bank?s management team participated in the completion of the Madi-WestNile diocese offices in Arua, a gesture that was well received by the church leadership who looked forward to many more opportunities for such partnerships. The team also visited Lira University where they constructed a road safety monument in support of education as a key sector in the country.
In Tororo, the Bank contributed to the painting of the Women?s maternity ward at Tororo Main Hospital. In Jinja, the Bank also contributed construction items towards the construction of dormitories at St. Abel Primary School Njeru and the completion of St Andrew?s Cathedral Church Administration block respectively.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of the Bank Mr. Michael K. Mugabi appreciated the respective communities for partnering with the Bank to drive economic growth and development of the country and reiterated the Bank?s commitment towards transforming the lives of the communities in which the Bank operates through financial solutions tailored to their respective needs especially in housing.
