HFB Debit MasterCard

Our Debit MasterCard comes in two types:

  • Platinum Debit Card: is one with various special benefits and privileges made for premium users and high earners.
  • Standard Debit Card: is a payment card linked to a customer’s savings or current account. They work by debiting funds from your HFB account every time they make a purchase

Our HFB Debit MasterCard comes with the following benefits:

  • Withdraw Cash: At an ATM with a MasterCard logo in Uganda, Europe, America, China and rest of the world

HFB PREPAID MasterCard

Experience the opportunity to spend money pre-loaded onto you card with our HFB Prepaid MasterCard. Unlike a Standard debit card, a prepaid card is not linked to your HFB bank account. Generally, when you use a prepaid card, you are spending money that you have already loaded onto the card.

With the HFB Prepaid MasterCard comes the following:

  • Availability: Prepaid cards are a perfect option for adopting cashless payments. To be issued a debit card, you needs to fill the account opening documents. Prepaid cards have no such prerequisite, and is available to all consumers regardless of background, giving you the opportunity to carry HFB MasterCard even when you are not banked with us.

Convenience: Like our Debit cards, HFB prepaid card is accepted around the world and online – through any merchant who displays the Visa or MasterCard logo. This will enable you to shop and pay quickly and easily, through the simple swipe of a card, or to shop online from the comfort of home (or mobile device) at any time of the day. For travelers with a card, gone are the days of seeking out a currency exchange vendor and protecting a lot of cash in a travel pouch.

Prepaid cards are like cash, with an added layer of security. Once the balance has been set by applying cash to the card, you’re protected from risks such as fraudulent purchases, loss, and theft. If fraudulent charges appear on the card, you can contact us to investigate and reimburse the funds. You can rest comfortably knowing your cash is protected with a prepaid card.

Ease-of-Use

If you have used an ATM card before, a prepaid card is simple and used in the exact same way. With most issuers, adding funds to the balance can be done through a transfer of funds from a bank account to the card or direct cash deposits. The card holder can then safely and easily make purchases anywhere Credit/Debit cards are accepted: websites, ATM’s, hotels, restaurants, shops, and more.

  • You don’t need to have an account with us to use our MasterCard prepaid card. Simply Visit any of our branches with your National ID and have your cash loaded on a prepaid card.
  • HFB prepaid card holds 2 wallets (UGX&USD). Choose to load either Dollar or shillings or even Both on the same card
