European Investment Bank partnered with Housing Finance Bank to invest Euro 50 million to mainly benefit female led/owned Businesses in Uganda. The two institutions will both contribute 50% of the total sum over a period of two years effective January 2024. At least half of the total investment from both parties will to be allocated to women led or women owned enterprises. The funding will support private sector entities, notably SMEs in Uganda.
